Our story
Hello friends, thanks for stopping by.
Mila Vox, (1000 voices) is the answer to my recent ‘tantrum-prayer’ induced by a heartbreaking story of the horrific abuse and near death of a child in a troubled, war-ravaged nation. The notion of ‘Ubuntu’ kicked in—when it happens to one of us, it happens to all of us. Suddenly, my own children were strapped to that post and being brutally tortured. I absolutely railed at God, demanding to know what I must do for these—and untold numbers of children around the world—who have only known fear, hunger, misery and despair their entire lives. In a life-changing, personal ‘Isaiah: 6’ encounter three days later in Barcelona, God boldly answered me:
“Sing my praises. Serve my children. Repeat.”
Inspired by the incredible 1000-seat choir loft in the Basilica de la Sagrada Familia, Mila Vox is an intersection of my two great passions: glorifying God through excellence in the performing arts and serving His beloved ‘least of these.’ Humble and intimate, or historic in size and scope, our performances benefit reputable organizations that offer a refuge from suffering–safety, nourishment, and opportunity for children around the globe. And while we’re in town, we pick up a shovel, serving the community’s specific needs through hands-on projects.
1000 voices lifted in praise. 2000 hands lifted in service. Infinite hope. Being Christ to children–the littlest, most vulnerable among us.
Don’t just imagine the impact. Be a part of it. There is a place for YOU in the Mila Vox community! Won’t you join us?
Grace & peace,
